Within a central circle, ‘bism Allāh al-raḥmān al-raḥīm / lā ilāha illā Allāh / Muḥammad rasūl Allāh / arsalahū bi al-hudā’, continued in the margin, ‘wa dīn al-ḥaqq al-aʾimma raḍiya Allāh ʿanhum Abūbakr ʿUmar ʿUthmān ʿAlī’ (‘In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. He sent him with guidance and the religion of truth. The Imams, may Allah be pleased with them: Abubakr, ʿUmar, ʿUthman, ʿAli’ in Arabic) Within a central circle, a horseman to left with a falcon of his left hand; in the margin, 'al-Malik al-Ašraf Mumahhid ad-Dīn Ismaʿīl ibn al-ʿAbbās ibn ʿAlī ḍuriba bi Taʿizz 787’ (‘The sultan and king al-Ashraf Isma'il I, son of al-ʿAbbas. Struck in Taʿizz in 787’ in Arabic). Album 1111. Rare. Weakly struck as usual and with some corrosion and and minor edge cracks, otherwise, nearly very fine.
